Program notes:
This is a re-arrangement for a small chamber group from a bigger chamber orchestra 3-movement work that was written in 2014 and called Secret of Solstice. The larger work was premiered on December 5th, 2014 by the accordionist Michael Bridge and soprano Zorana Sadiq. The work is centred around the accordion and its conversation with the rest of the orchestra influenced by Baroque era concertos. The voice is used like an instrument and it was influenced by the movie soundtracks of Three Colours trilogy composed by Zbigniew Preisner.
