The fables are a beloved collection short stories from the famous 13th Century Sufi poet, philosopher, and scholar Rumi. They have been a part of Middle-Eastern culture for more than seven hundred years. In honour of his 800th birthday, the United Nations declared 2007 as The Year of Rumi.
