Program Notes
Pouya was sitting at his desk and light came through the window and he could see the dust particles moving in the air. It inspired the beginning of this work. The composition like other Ladom Ensemble works by him are inspired by Iranian traditional music including the use of repeated notes and improvisation. Noor has been performed across Canada with Ladom Ensemble and is a crowd favourite.
