Program Notes
A bagatelle is a short piece of music, typically for the piano, and usually of a light, mellow character. Pouya was inspired by playing some of Beethoven’s famous Bagatelle’s while writing this work. The composition explores the order of notes outside of the usual modal tonality in a light hearted manner.
